AFTRR: The Alliance for Technology Refurbishing and Reuse
Mission Critical: Digital Equity for All
Supporting a thriving nonprofit technology refurbishment industry focused on ending the digital divide.
United by the concept of technology reuse and a shared vision of digital equity for all, the Alliance for Technology Refurbishing and Reuse (AFTRR) is a nation-wide consortium of over 85 mission-driven nonprofit technology refurbishers. Ranging in size and scope from large IT asset disposition solutions to local, volunteer-driven organizations, AFTRR processes and distributes over 300,000 no-cost and low-cost computers annually– a remarkable impact on local communities.

Digitunity and AFTRR
Launched in 2016, AFTRR is a collective impact program of Digitunity. The Digitunity team provides administrative and strategic support for the Alliance, and is committed to its growth, impact, and longevity. Digitunity hosts a national AFTRR conference each year, supports development and implementation of work plans, matches corporate technology donors with recipient refurbishers, advocates for policies that help strengthen the work of the group, and amplifies the exceptional work being done by Alliance members.
Microsoft Licenses
In a partnership with PCs for People and Microsoft, and in support of AFTRR, Digitunity helps to provide low-cost Windows and Microsoft Office licenses to refurbishers across the country. Program revenue helps support closing the digital divide. To learn more about the program, visit mar.digitunity.org.
