The Corporate Pledge to End the Digital Divide is a call for leaders in business, government, education, philanthropy, and community to join Digitunity and our national collective of nearly 1,500 frontline, community-level organizations in the effort to close the digital divide. 

By aligning the passion and dedication of digital inclusion organizations with the support and collective voice of leaders of influence, we can elevate this issue and create lasting impact across the US.

Each organization that signs the Corporate Pledge to End the Digital Divide commits to:

Contribute

Make a meaningful contribution to support digital equity. Such as, a donation of new or end-of-cycle computers to charitable organizations, or a financial contribution to advance this critical work.

Engage

Engage employees, stakeholders, and constituents in the work of digital inclusion.

Share

Introduce other leaders in business, government, education, philanthropy, and community to the Corporate Pledge to End the Digital Divide.

Benefits of Signing The Corporate Pledge to End the Digital Divide

Each organization who signs the Corporate Pledge to End the Digital Divide will be recognized on the Corporate Pledge website at Digitunity.org. Each organization will be included in a quarterly press release announcing the new pledged entities that join the list of existing organizations. Social media and other ongoing public relations campaigns will promote overall participation, engagement, and outcomes.

Who is Digitunity?

Digitunity works to ensure all barriers that limit equitable opportunity to participate in our digitally connected society are removed. 

Digitunity, and its predecessor organization, has worked in the digital inclusion space since the 1980s, connecting donors of technology with organizations serving marginalized individuals in need.

Hundreds of thousands of people have benefitted since the effort’s inception. Today, we lead a national strategy to eliminate the technology gap at scale.

How can I support pledge efforts in my organization?

There are many ways to support pledge efforts in your organization. A few examples include:

  • Technology product donations
  • Financial support to advance this critical work
  • Volunteer mobilization of employees, customers, and stakeholders
  • Grants and awards programs that support digital equity and sustainability
  • Raising public awareness 
  • Introducing other leaders in your community to The Pledge.

 

We strive for national systems change and advocate for the rights of all people to have equitable access to decent, affordable computers, digital literacy, and the support they need to thrive in our digitally-connected world.

Is there a fee to participate?

No. However, we encourage you to make a donation to Digitunity to further support our efforts.

Will my organization’s name be made public?

Yes. You will be recognized by name and organization on The Corporate Pledge website, a quarterly press release announcing the new organizations that join, and in awareness building campaigns.

What organizations are eligible to sign the pledge?

The pledge is open to corporate leaders in business, government, education, philanthropy, and community.
