Onepak Joins with Digitunity and signs The Pledge to End the Digital Divide

The digital divide is deep and persistent, locking millions of people out of the opportunity to thrive in our digitally connected world.

Together, we can fix this.

Why a Corporate Pledge to End the Digital Divide?

Join us in this critically important national effort.

While a high school diploma used to be a predictor of economic success, today the number one driver is access to technological tools and the skills to use them.

The digital divide is caused by a number of interwoven, systemic issues. This national-scale gap in opportunity is multi-faceted with over 36 million people in America without a large-screen device. The impact of the digital divide is felt across the US in urban, suburban, and rural communities.

But it’s time to be honest with ourselves. The injustices that the digital divide inflicts on people are worthy of outrage. An urgent, cross-collaborative response between corporate leaders in business, government, education, philanthropy, and community is required. Simply put, we must achieve digital equity.

Digitunity and its predecessor organization have been working to close the technology gap to those in need since the mid-1980s. We've placed hundreds of thousands of computers since our founding.

But we can’t do it alone.

It requires collaboration and bold action from a cross-section of leadership that includes business, government, education, philanthropy, and community to join Digitunity and our national collective of nearly 1,500 frontline, community-level organizations in the effort to close the digital divide.

Join us in achieving digital equity in underrepresented communities.

Changing the Future

The digital divide has been with us for decades. It continues to be a barrier to success for millions in our country. Device ownership is the key that unlocks vast opportunity. Let’s work together to get computers to everyone in need.
