Partnering for Impact

The digital divide poses a significant challenge, hindering access to high-speed internet, working computers, and the development of technology skills across the United States. Among the most affected are our nation’s children, a vulnerable population facing this epidemic.

In a remarkable effort to address this pressing issue, AT&T, as part of its Connected Learning initiative, provided support to Digitunity and set a two-year objective of providing 20,000 devices to those in need while bolstering communities’ capacity to offer free and affordable computers and related supports well into the future. From August 1, 2021 to July 31, 2023, the collaboration thrived as eleven nonprofit technology refurbishing organizations actively operated in ten major cities.

Their dedicated work surpassed expectations, resulting in our goal being achieved within the first year. Their remarkable success stories are highlighted in this report and are a testament to the transformative power of this collaborative partnership and collective efforts to bridge the digital divide, providing opportunities for a brighter future for our nation’s children.
