President

Jeremy Hegle
Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City
Kansas City, MO

Jeremy Hegle is Assistant Vice President and Community Affairs Officer (CAO) at the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. In this role, Hegle leads the Tenth District’s Community Development department with responsibility for leading and executing the Bank’s districtwide community and economic development initiatives, which address challenging issues affecting lower-income individuals, underserved communities and small businesses’ access to credit.

Prior to being named CAO in 2023, Hegle led the Bank’s digital equity efforts. In 2019 Hegle co-authored Disconnected: Seven Lessons on Fixing the Digital Divide, a layperson’s overview of the digital divide. Hegle has a Bachelor’s in Business Administration and an MBA from the University of Missouri – Kansas City.

Kenneth Rogerson

Ken Rogerson is a professor of the practice in Duke University’s Sanford School of Public Policy. He is currently serving as the Director of Graduate Studies for the Master of Public Policy program. He received his Ph.D. from the University of South Carolina in political science and currently teaches and researches on technology policy, information privacy, digital equity, news media and international communications. He runs research projects on digital equity through Sanford School’s Tech Policy Lab, including work on technology in education, equitable device distribution, and digital divide issues. He has presented in cybersecurity training workshops at Duke University, as well as in Thailand and Costa Rica.

David Bernstein

David Bernstein is the Founder, President, and CEO of AnythingIT. He established the creation of customized IT end-of-life service and trade-in programs for both Government and enterprise private sector IT organizations. He is also an adviser to the United States Government who personally received Congressional Recommendations for his work delivering best practices in management of all facets of technology reuse and recycle.

Currently, Bernstein serves on the Board of Digitunity as part of his commitment to close the digital divide. He has also served on the Board of Directors for CompTIA, composed of over 50,000 members from the Information Technology reseller and consulting community. He is a graduate of Rider University with a Bachelor of Science in Communications.

Yvette Marrin Phd

Following a career as an educator, and school administrator, Yvette Marrin earned a Ph.D in Organizational and Administrative Studies from New York University in 1985.

Dr. Yvette Marrin’s pioneering work in 1984, through the creation of the National Cristina Foundation, was significant in promoting the practice of technology reuse to develop human potential in the United States and abroad.

Advocating that no person should be left behind because of the challenges of the digital divide, Dr. Marrin continues to look into the future through the development and launch of Digitunity. This endeavor will make possible the full realization of her belief that technology access for all is beneficial, practical, and necessary to the life fabric of our digitally connected society.

Steven Nickel

Steven Nickel is a seasoned leader known for building and guiding exceptional global teams from startup phases to maturity, achieving strong financial and operational results. Throughout his career, Steven has taken on responsibilities across primary functions within consumer electronics, earning a reputation for his ability to deliver results effectively. Over the past 8+ years, he has been at the forefront of developing and leading global repair and refurbishment operations for Google’s consumer hardware products. His work includes establishing a repairability strategy that supports global Right to Repair legislation and initiatives, showcasing his commitment to operational excellence and sustainability within the tech industry.

Angel L. Piñeiro, Jr.

Angel Piñeiro, Jr. is a known industry expert in information technology and workforce development. He attributes his success to his training and real-world experience. Frequently, he’s invited to speak at IT Forums throughout North America. On two separate occasions, he was invited to the White House to share his expertise.

He was also a guest speaker at the U.S. News STEM Solutions’ Workforce of Tomorrow conference. A champion of providing career opportunities to those entering the field, he was featured in Hispanic Executive Magazine. To ensure graduates are workforce ready, he works with educators in the K-12 and post-secondary market.

Thiruvallur Srikanth

T.R. Srikanth is a senior technology executive with over 30 years of professional experience across product development, management consulting, and corporate IT. He enjoys bringing creative and sustainable solutions to day-to-day as well as strategic problems. He currently heads the Global corporate functions and digital experience at Danaher Corporation. Srikanth is passionate about mentoring youth and young professionals. In his free time, he enjoys cooking, listening to music, watching sports, and playing chess.

Allison Strobel

Allison Strobel is Executive Director of the Hoboken Public Education Foundation. She is a public sector manager with experience in strategic planning, interagency collaboration, and social service program development and delivery with a particular focus on digital inclusion initiatives. Previously Allison managed the development and early implementation of a pioneering $100 million grant program aimed at building broadband infrastructure in affordable housing properties across New York for the State’s broadband office. She also served as Chief of Staff and Director of Resident Empowerment and Community Engagement at the Jersey City Housing Authority (JCHA), where she coordinated strategic interdepartmental collaboration and operations, and developed and oversaw partnerships with dozens of local, state, and national organizations to offer a range of services and resources to JCHA’s nearly 15,000 residents.

Allison holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Boston University and a master’s degree in social work from Rutgers University.

Dr. Darla F. Strouse

Retired, Maryland State Dept. of Education

Recently retired, Dr. Strouse served for 36 years as the Director for the Office of Partnership Development and Recognition Programs at the Maryland State Department of Education where she created and implemented state partnerships to support Maryland’s Teacher of the Year, Milken National Educator Awards, Blue Ribbon Schools and a Teachers of Promise Program.

Now a consultant, she serves on numerous boards including Digitunity, University of Maryland Alumni Board, Frostburg University’s Education Advisory Board, and the OMI Interfaith Board. Dr. Strouse was honored twice with Warfield Daily Record’s Top 100 Women and Innovator of the Year Awards. She has a Master’s Degree from Johns Hopkins University and a Doctorate from the University of Maryland College Park.

Aaron Woods

Aaron Woods is a recently retired Senior Executive from Xerox where he was responsible for the U.S., supporting Hardware and Professional Services programs. He has lived in the Wilsonville, OR area for over 24 years. A proven leader with a strong track record of success in both for-profit and nonprofit organizations, he has 30 years of business and IT experience.

Woods also brings valuable experience serving on the Board of Clackamas Community College. As a former IT Executive, he hopes to strengthen bridges to the vocational needs of growing industries through his service with Digitunity. He and his wife Shirley have five grown children who reside in the Denver, CO area.

Matthew Zimmer

Matthew Zimmer is the President of Zengistics, having assumed the role in January 2022 following the company’s acquisition by Trimac. Previously serving as COO, Matthew brings extensive leadership experience to Zengistics. He has held multiple executive and C-level positions in publicly traded Fortune 500 companies and private equity-backed organizations. A recognized global supply chain expert, Matthew has a proven track record in driving organizational turnarounds, successfully leading two private equity exits, and fostering sustainable growth across the companies he has served.
