Rebecca Kelley brings a wealth of experience from her previous Strategic Initiatives Program Manager role at LOUIS: The Louisiana Library Network. Her ability to foster partnerships with stakeholders across libraries, higher education, state agencies, and nonprofits has been instrumental in advancing digital equity efforts.

Rebecca’s experience includes managing large-scale projects, such as leading statewide higher education teams in digital equity initiatives and creating the ‘Advancing Digital Opportunity: A Higher Education Toolkit.’ Her involvement in presenting at state and national conferences has established her as a thought leader in the digital equity space, and she brings a wealth of knowledge in strategic planning, project development, and community engagement to Digitunity.

Rebecca’s experience uniquely aligns with Digitunity’s Methodology for a Sustainable Device Ecosystem framework, which aims to inform communities to ensure access to affordable and free computers for those affected by the digital divide. As a board member of the Capital Area Corporate Recycling Council (CACRC), she has also been directly involved in technology reuse and refurbishment, gaining insights that will be invaluable to her role at Digitunity. She holds a Master of Library and Information Science and a Bachelor of General Studies from Louisiana State University.

“Rebecca’s expertise, passion for digital equity, and warm, engaging personality make her an ideal fit for the Digitunity team at a critical stage in our work,” says Scot Henley, Executive Director of Digitunity. “We are excited to welcome her, and she will immediately contribute to several projects and engagements now underway with states.”

Digitunity is a national nonprofit organization with a mission to make owning a computer possible for everyone. Engaged in advancing digital equity for nearly forty years, Digitunity generates and places donated computers with organizations serving people in need, supports a national practitioner network, and advises states, cities, and coalitions on strategies to meet the ongoing device needs of people impacted by the digital divide.
